He graduated as a lawyer from the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires and got a postgraduate degree in Criminal Law from Universidad Austral (2006/2007)
He has practiced criminal law since the year 1991. He is a former official of the National Court for Criminal and Correctional Matters of the City of Buenos Aires. He has been a member of Durrieu Abogados since 1997 and a partner since 2002.
He is registered with the Lawyers’ Association of Capital Federal and that of the District of Morón. He is a member of the Lawyers’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires, as well as part of the Commission for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law of said institution. He is also a member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of the City of Buenos Aires.
He graduated as a lawyer from the School of Law of Universidad Católica Argentina and got a master’s degree in International Law and National Security (LL.M) from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in Criminal Law from Universidad Austral.
He has specialized in internal investigations and criminal compliance certified by the Argentine Association of Ethics and Compliance (AAEC in Spanish) and by the School of Business of Universidad Austral. He co-directed and co-wrote the book Compliance, Anticorrupción y Ley de Responsabilidad Penal Empresaria [Compliance, Anti-Corruption and Corporate Criminal Liability] published by Thomson Reuters/LA Ley on March 2018, and he has participated in different papers and lectures in this matter.
He is currently the Academic Coordinator for the degree of Law at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) as well as co-director of the Compliance Program of Thomson Reuters/La Ley.
He has been a partner at Durrieu Abogados since 2012. Before entering private practice, he worked with the National Court for Criminal and Correctional Matters of the City of Buenos Aires, he was appointed Summary Clerk in the Ministry of Economy and was an expert consultant in money-laundering, financing of terrorism and recovery of illegal assets of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), and was hired as an advisor in the Argentine Senate.
He is registered with the Lawyers’ Association of Capital Federal, that of the district of San Isidro and that of the Province of Salta. He is a member of the Lawyers’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires and is within the list of lawyers recommended by the French Consulate in Buenos Aires.

He has participated in many courses of Criminal Law and published papers in specialized journals.
He has worked as a lawyer at Durrieu Abogados since 2001. His wide professional experience comes from his activity in different branches of Criminal Law.
He graduated as a lawyer from the School of Law of Universidad Católica Argentina, he got a postgraduate degree in Criminal Law from Universidad Austral and a PhD in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain, where he was also awarded with the diploma of investigating sufficieny (DEA) in 2007.
He has taught as an associate professor in Criminal Procedure Law at Universidad Católica Argentina and a visiting scholar in the master’s degree in Criminal Law of Universidad Austral. He was also a consultant of the Commission for the Criminal Code Reform, which drafted a Bill that was submitted to the National Congress in March 2019.
From 1998 to 2004 he worked in the judicial system of the Province of Buenos Aires Judicial department of San Isidro. He was an auxiliary counselor for Defensoría Oficial Nº3 from 2000 to 2004. In the year 2004, he was appointed clerk of the Office of the District Attorney, with tasks of clerk of the Public Defense Office, criminal enforcement area.
From 2005 to 2008 he was an associate at Durrieu Abogados. Between 2009 and 2012 he worked as an associate senior in Estudio Fernández Alonso, Beccar Varela & Richards, and between 2012 and 2015 he held a similar position in Estudio Beccar Varela.
In the year 2015 he joined Durrieu Abogados, where he is a partner.
He graduated as a lawyer from Universidad Austral and was awarded with the degree of Specialist in Criminal Law in the year 2006 by the same university.
He has taught in the courses “Criminal Law”, “Criminal Procedure Law” and “Customs Law and Economic Crime Law” at Universidad Argentina de Empresas. He was also a professor and coordinator in the postgraduate course in Customs Law at Escuela de Cuerpo de Abogados del Estado, as well as a lecturer and coordinator at many conferences organized by Centro de Despachantes de Aduana on the liability of customs dispatch agents.
He is currently teaching Customs Crimes as Full Professor at the postgraduate program of Universidad Nacional de la Plata (since 2013), Visiting Professor in the postgraduate program of Customs Law of the University of Buenos Aires, in the master’s degree program of Tax Law of the School of Economic Sciencies and of Universidad Di Tella. He collaborated in the book Delitos Aduaneros (Customs Crimes) written by Héctor Guillermo Vidal Albarracín, Ed. Mave (October 2004. Updated and broadened in 2006 and 2010). He co-wrote the books: La responsabilidad del despachante de aduana (Liability of Customs Dispatch Agents) (2009) and El despachante de aduana (Customs Dispatch Agents) (2016), Editorial Guía Práctica – Ediciones IARA SA. He compiled the book Jornadas de Trabajo de Derecho Aduanero – Lucha contra el contrabando de estupefacientes, cigarrillos, mercaderías falsificadas y copias piratas (Conferences on Customs Law – Fighting against drugs, tobacco, counterfeit goods and piracy) , Editorial Abeledo Perrot (2010) and the books of the conferences on preventive practices against drug trafficking (2011 and 2012). He co-wrote the updated and broadened version of Tome III of the book Código aduanero comentado (Customs Code Explained) Editorial Abeledo Perrot (2011) and is the author of various articles for specialized journals.
From 1998 to 2016 he was a partner in the law firm of Dr Barreira, Rodriguez Larreta, Vidal Albarracín (Estudio BRSV) in the area of General Criminal Law and Economic Crime Law. In the year 2016 he co-founded with his father the firm Estudio Vidal Albarracín, which later merged with Durrieu Abogados in June 2017 to create the Department of Criminal Customs Law.
A numerary member and former Secretary of Instituto Argentino de Estudios Aduaneros [Argentine Institute of Customs Studies] and a member of the Lawyers’ Association of Capital Federal, of the Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association and of the Lawyers’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires, where he is also Secretary of the Commission on Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law.
She graduated with Honors from the School of Law of the University of Buenos Aires in July, 2016. Since 2018, she has been attending the Specialization and Master’s Degree Program on Criminal Law from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella.
She did her specialization (CPO) in Criminal Law. Her academic training also includes practice in criminal litigation techniques. In this respect, she was part of the team that represented the University of Buenos Aires at the VIII National Inter College Competition of Criminal Litigation. In November 2017, she came 1st at the II Competition on Criminal Litigation, organized by the Center for Criminal Litigation. She worked as a undergraduate teaching assistant in the course Elements in Administrative Law and in Constitutional Rights in Substantive Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at the UBA. She has attended many conferences and seminars on criminal law.

A graduated lawyer by the School of Law and Social Sciences of the University of Buenos Aires in 1967. Founding member and President over 11 years of the Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires. President of the Lawyers’ Association of the City of Buenos Aires from 2002 to 2006 and a member of the National Academy of Law and Social Sciences, Criminal Law Commission since 2006.
He is currently teaching as a Full Professor at Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and Honorary Professor at the School of Law of Universidad Austral. He previously taught Criminal Law in both universities. He was named Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Salta in September 2004. At the Unversity of Buenos Aiers, he was a professor of many courses in Criminal Law until 1984 and, as an undergraduate, he was a member of the Academic Council of the School of Law and Social Sciences representing students’ majority through Movimiento Universitario de Centro (M.U.C). He was also a professor at Universidad del Museo Social Argentino and of different postgraduate and master’s degree programs of the aforementioned universities. He wrote many articles on his subject matter published in the newspapers La Nación and La Ley.
He has practiced law in his field of expertise since his graduation from the University of Buenos Aires in 1967. He held different positions in the public sector; he was Deputy District Attorney of the Province of Buenos Aires and National Deputy Secretary, Associate Judge of the Federal Court of Appeals of La Plata (2006), Official Defendant on behalf of Argentina before the International Court on Human Rights in 2003, Associate Judge of the Cámara Nacional de Casación Penal [National Chamber for Cassation in Criminal Matters] from 2004 to 2006. Appointed Juror in August 2004 and in 2005 by the Commission for the Appointment of Magistrates of the Consejo de la Magistratura Nacional [Superior Council of the Judiciary]
The Rotary Club of Buenos Aires awarded him “Person of the year” in his capacity of lawyer, June 30 2004.

He is a professor in Customs Law and Criminal Customs Law at many Argentine Universities (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Office of the Attorney General, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba -School of Law and Social Sciences-, Universidad Austral, to name a few.)
